Ryecroft Primary Academy serves the community of Holmewood. We currently have approximately 290 pupils and are very proud of the high standards we set for our learners.

As an academy, we place great importance on the development of each and every child both academically and socially and emotionally. We aim to provide a wide range of learning experiences both within the classroom and beyond which will promote a lifelong love of learning and enable our children to become independent, forward thinking and socially responsible citizens of the future.

Our curriculum is tailored for the needs of our children. We encourage children to become confident speakers and good listeners. Using pupil voice to get a child-centred perspective on school life means we include children in our decision-making and when creating a vision for our future.

The students at Ryecroft are incredible and make good progress during their time with us. Not just academically, but also emotionally. Behaviour is excellent and children are rewarded throughout the year whether that is through stickers, dojos, parties, trips or visitors to school.

We are very proud of our school environment and believe that it provides a safe and exhilarating setting for children to learn. When you enter the building, there is a sense of calm and warmth, which means children feel relaxed, happy and ready to learn.
